Stand up to Racism have asked, once again, if partner organisations can reach out to their supporters concerning the ongoing campaign by the far-right to intimidate asylum seekers living in hotels in our area.

Joining Instruction for Cedar Court

Please note the slightly later assembly time of 1.30pm at the One stop shop on Denby Dale Road East . From there we will walk together Cedar Court and join the SUTR counter protest at our allocated location. 

The map below is where we advise people to park . Postcode is WF4 3AX this is at the opposite side of the motorway and is a short walk to the hotel we will have stewards there guiding people.                     

SUTR stewards will monitor the safety of the situation for all our participants and we will leave together when we believe it is appropriate and safe to do so.

Bargain taxis service has again agreed to provide a drop off and pick up service from the centre of Wakefield from 12.30. The meeting point for this is opposite Wakefield X next to the Griffin bar WF1 3AE . There will be people there to liaise with. On return they will meet us with the main group at the leaving point.
